Who is the Course intended for?

This course is aimed at those who need to understand the basic principles of IEC61131-3 as implemented in Unity Pro software. The five Unity Pro programming languages along with Derived Data Types will be identified. You will have an opportunity to demonstrate your ability to program logic, analogue and communications techniques.

• Programming with IEC61131-3 languages
• Object programming with Derived Function Blocks
• Creating and using Derived Data Types
• Configuring PLC-to-device communications
• PLC-to-PLC and PLC-to-I/O communications with Ethernet and Modbus Plus

Course Prerequisites

• Thorough knowledge of Modicon Premium, Quantum or M340 PLC hardware and configuration.

• Competent in using Microsoft Windows.
