Who is the Course intended for?
Project/design engineers who design, configure and install Modicon Quantum/Momentum PLC hardware and who write, commission and document Concept user-application programs.
Also suitable for electrical maintenance personnel.

Day One focuses on PLC hardware and an introduction to Concept: • Selection, layout, installation, wiring and configuring of Quantum and Momentum PLC hardware • Overview of the IEC61131 standard and its implications within Concept • Introduction to basic Concept procedures, with practical exercise. |
Day Three continues to extend the material by including:
• Configuring digital and analogue I/O, programming and animating an SFC • Connecting Concept to Quantum / Momentum Controller using Modbus, Modbus Plus and Ethernet connections, and downloading the application code

Day Two extends the material from Day One to include:
• The Variables Editor, and Reference Data Editor templates. • Animation, and Saving programs • Programming using the Sequential Function Chart (SFC) language. |
Day Four incorporates hands on exercises, including: • Programming Derived Function Blocks (DFBs) and Macros using the Function Block Diagram editor (FBD), and the simultaneous animation of at least two instances of a single DFB type. • Using the Concept Controller diagnostic table. • Troubleshooting |
Course Prerequisites
Basic understanding of Programmable Controllers.
Competency in using Microsoft Windows.
