Who is the Course intended for?
Electrical maintenance personnel who maintain plant and systems controlled by Quantum or Momentum PLCs using Concept programming software.

Day One focuses on the
fundamentals of Quantum/
Momentum PLCs including:
• Overview of Quantum/ Momentum PLC hardware configuration using the I/O map
• Overview of the use of Concept’s Project Browser |
Day Two extends the material
from Day One to include:
• Connection from the IBM-PC running Concept to aQuantum / Momentum PLC Controller using Modbus, Modbus Plus and Ethernet Connections
• Derived Function Block (DFBs) using the Function Block Diagram editor |
Day Three incorporates the
skills learned using Derived
Function Blocks including:
• Configuring digital and analogue I/O, programming and animating an SFC and the simultaneous animation of at least two instances of single DFB type
• Using the Concept Controller diagnostic status table |
Course Prerequisites
Basic understanding of Programmable Controllers.
Competency in using Microsoft Windows.
