Who is the Course intended for?

• Electrical maintenance personnel whose responsibilities include maintaining plant and systems controlled by Quantum, Premium or M340 PLCs which use Unity Pro programming software.

What is covered in this Course?

• Programming using the Sequential Function Chart (SFC) editor
• Overview of Quantum/Premium/M340 hardware configuration screens within Unity Pro
• Searching and cross referencing the application code
• Overview and typical application of selected Elementary Functions (EF) and Elementary Function Blocks (EFBs) - 1269 types provided by Unity Pro
• Functioning of Derived Function Blocks (DFBs) using the Function Block Diagram (FDB) editor, including the simultaneous animation of at least two instances of the one DFB 
• A brief overview of the Operator Run-Time and Diagnostics Screens

Course Prerequisites

• Basic understanding of Programmable Controllers.
• Competency in using Microsoft Windows.
