In 2010 Schneider Electric Automation will hold its inaugural User Conference, Connects. Continuing the
tradition of the previous Citect User Conferences, the Connects event is designed for those with an interest
in Automation technology, including SCADA, PLCs, Variable Speed Drives, MES, reporting and the services that
complement and secure technology investment.
The conference will allow users to make the most informed decisions about current and future automation
technologies, whilst connecting and sharing experiences with numerous other industry professionals.
Focusing on key industry issues including SAFETY, PRODUCTIVITY IMPROVEMENT, PREFERRED IMPLEMENTATIONS AND
ENERGY EFFICIENCY, the forum will additionally serve as the launching platform for PlantStruxure™ –
the eagerly awaited automation methodology from Schneider Electric.
PlantStruxure™ forms an integral part of Schneider Electric's solution backbone EcoStruxure™, which
unites the company's unique expertise in power, datacentres, process & machines, building control, and
physical security into a singular, compatible architecture, allowing customers to vastly improve efficiencies
across multiple domains of their business.
The EcoStruxure™ architecture, SoCollaborative & SoMachine software suites will be further highlighted
during the three-day event as part of Schneider Electric's simplified solution strategy.
In addition to the key focal points above and to assist attendees in recognising vital productivity and cost
optimisation opportunities, the conference will also include:
- Experience Presentations – conducted by organisations currently utilising Schneider Electric technology in their applications
- Technology Exhibition – delivered to showcase solutions for the Food & Beverage, Water & Wastewater and Mining, Metals & Minerals industry streams
- Plus, a favourite from the previous Citect conference: Technology Speed Dating, for quick tips and tricks about SCADA, PLCs, Variable Speed Drives and Ampla. You will have the opportunity to pick and choose the sessions that most interest you.
On a lighter side we have plenty to break up the conference with plenty of networking opportunities, including the Schneider
Electric Sailing Regatta, which is included in the price of registration. Attendees will have a chance to catch up with other attendees while sailing the Harbour.
